How can I monetize my Wordpress site or blog with video ads?

1) Log into your account and access your Wordpress dashboard. (ex: http://www.example.com/wp-admin/index.php)

2) Set up your video player.
Make sure that you are using a video player that allows you to monetize with ads.
JW player is quite convenient and will be taken as an example but if you wish to use another one, you obviously can.

 a) Select Plugins / Add new
 

b) Type JW in the search bar, select "JW Player 7 for Wordpress" and click on "Install now"


c) Once Installed, select Plugins / Installed pluggin & activate JW player 7



d) Sign up and create a JW Player account at http://www.jwplayer.com/sign-up/

e) Once you are logged in, download the player and copy your Licence key from https://dashboard.jwplayer.com/#/players/downloads

f) Upload the folder to your site via an FTP client

g) Navigate back to your Wordpress dashboard and select the JW player admin page.


h) Add the URL of jwplayer.js that you uploaded, in the admin page of the plugin; ex: "http://example.com/MYFOLDER/jwplayer.js"

i) Paste your Licence Key to the admin page of the plugin. 

j) After that, set your general preferences, choose the post types where you want to add video and start to add content using the JW Player box that you’ll find there.

k) Add the url of your self-hosted video and you are all set.

3) Set up your Ad server - DoubleClick for Publishers
Doubleclick for Publishers - DFP by google is the one we recommend to use, it will give you easy access to Google AdExchange which in turn will give you access to a high quantity of advertisements.
If your website has less than 900 millions monthly visits, you will be able to benefit from the free version of DFP, DFP Small Business.

Once you have created an account on DFP, we recommend using the DFP Ad Manager Plugin for Wordpress to complete the set up.

4) Link your Google AdExchange account to your DFP account.
